Elizabeth McMann

As a homeschooling mother of five, I felt led by the Lord to create an online educational platform. My style of learning didn't fit into the mold of what was out there. Not to mention, the rising prices of other educational platforms limited what classes my children could enjoy. Sifting through online classes and full curriculum that aligns with Christian values is tricky. Today, it seems most Christian curriculum is boring bookwork and/or very costly. I sought to combine everything that I value in education. Teach Me Truth provides entertaining video lessons, live online classes, online games, quizzes, worksheets, and community - all designed by independent teachers within our nonprofit platform.

Stacy Forestieri

I am a homeschool mom of 3 adventurous young boys. We enjoy the great outdoors and living for Jesus. You will most often find us wandering the nearby river trail, or hiking to local waterfalls, searching for creatures and other wonders of creation. We reside in a small town in southern Ontario, Canada, along with our 3 ducks, 2 bunnies and 4 silkie chickens (who sometimes make live appearances in my classes). We love taking learning outdoors, or at least bringing natural elements into practical hands-on learning.

With our name Forestieri, we launched Forest Kids, which offers nature-based programs, events and resources for kids and their families. Through that I teach preschool in my home daycare and early elementary ages in my nature clubs and family events. At my church I helped develop and teach their video courses which are used in the classroom and online.

I have held business and admin positions in both the corporate and ministry environments. I have led mission teams to several countries including Panama, Guyana and Costa Rica. One of my dream jobs was serving as a regional manager for an international ministry that shared the love of Jesus with children around the world. Currently my main ministry is home with my family, but my heart to share the love and light of Jesus in everything I do.

Bringing the practical to the digital.

Hello!

My name is Heidi. I've been homesteading for two decades, and homeschooling as long as I've had a school-age kid. I think that learning happens both intentionally and experientially, and there is something to be said for serious indoor study, as well as having fun and just exploring the world.

I have been taking care of the family farm for more than 20 years; tending garden, orchard, a timber stand, and raising dairy goats, chickens, and waterfowl. My family started and operates a goat milk soap business and my husband creates and carves with a CNC he built and programmed himself.

In the dark and rainy US Pacific Northwest winters, we find enough down time for video gaming. Raised around some of the early home computers, the first game I fell in love with was Boulder Dash on the Commodore 64 - and I've been gaming ever since. Some of my favorite games are Stardew Valley, Slime Rancher, and Core Keeper; but our family currently has an extensive library of more than 3,000 game titles. I am happy to provide a safe space for other like-minded gamers to play without exposure to some of the toxic online gaming communities. I love to talk and play games, and learn about new ones, too!

I have bachelor's degrees in both Biblical Languages (Greek and Hebrew) and linguistics. My master's degree in Biblical Studies focused primarily on the text of the Bible, as well as ancient cultures and languages in the surrounding region. I've been teaching for more than ten years, with extensive experience both in the classroom and online platforms, with students ranging from kindergarten through grad school. I have taught at private schools, college campuses, and homeschool co-ops. I have also taught virtually in both the master's of education and doctorate of education programs at Concordia University Online.

So come learn with me, whether your classroom has four walls or no walls.

Let's have fun at Teach Me Truth!
