In this engaging 5-lesson self-paced phonics course for early readers, students will master essential digraphs and blends including SH, CH, TH, WH, as well as key vowel teams such as AR, OR, UR, IR, and ER. These foundational phonics patterns are essential for building strong reading fluency, decoding skills, and spelling success.
Each lesson uses interactive, multisensory learning designed to keep young learners engaged and motivated. Through fun whiteboard instruction, puppets, props, and visual examples, students will see and hear how sounds work in real words. A playful “Switch-It” word-building game helps learners manipulate letters to create new words and strengthen phonemic awareness.
At the end of each lesson, students reinforce learning through interactive phonics games, printable worksheets, and sentence practice using weekly target sounds. Learners also have opportunities to share their work and participate in an optional online leaderboard for added motivation and engagement.
