Course Summary
Have you heard the legend that if you wear a friendship bracelet until the strings break and the bracelet falls off, your wish will come true? Why not make your own bracelet, and find out for yourself!
Join me for this fun and engaging one-week self-paced class where learners ages 8-12 will learn how to make the diagonal stripe friendship bracelet. Learners will begin by exploring the fundamental stitches for making bracelets. They will then have an opportunity to make their own diagonal stripe bracelet. They can then post a photo of their completed bracelet to the class page. I will provide feedback and encouragement. No previous experience is required for this class. It is intended for beginners.
I have been making friendship bracelets for the past 32 years! I learned the craft from my friend and a book when I was a child, and have been making bracelets ever since. It has been a wonderful way for me to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time.

SECTION CONTENT:

- I will be posting some questions to the class page. Learners are encouraged to add their answers to the discussion group, and I'll respond with some feedback and encouragement.
- Learners will add photos of their completed bracelet to the discussion group.
- I will provide my feedback and positive encouragement throughout the week.

REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Learners will need these materials to make their bracelet:
- embroidery floss in 3 colours
- scissors*
- safety pin and a towel OR a pencil and a clipboard*
* Be careful when using scissors and safety pins. They can be very sharp!
