Course Summary
Welcome to Pokémon School, where learning and fun go hand in hand! In our virtual classroom, students engage in video lessons, interactive worksheets, creative activities, and exciting team quizzes on Kahoot! Each week is packed with Pokémon-themed activities to keep learners engaged and entertained:
1) Get creative with a craft, drawing, or art project.
2) Have a blast while learning parts of speech with MadLibs.
3) Play games to reinforce vocabulary words.
4) Practice spelling our vocabulary words for a fun challenge.
5) Improve handwriting skills with a mystery sentence of the week.
6) Sharpen math skills with addition and subtraction problems that increase in complexity each week.
7) Dive into the world of Pokémon with knowledge videos and quizzes.
8) Show off your favorite things during show-and-tell sessions.
Students can showcase their crafts, share videos, discuss highlights of the week, and flaunt their favorite toys—all within the online classroom! With a flexible schedule, younger learners can watch video lessons, complete worksheets, and enjoy crafts at their own pace. Parents and students can delve deeper into topics of interest, making learning personalized and engaging. Course Curriculum
Elizabeth was an incredible teacher. Lots of energy! Loved all the worksheets and other resources.
My 5.5-year-old really enjoyed this class. Ms. McMann is so kind to always leave encouraging feedback on the work he turns in. The weekly videos by Ms. McMann were his favorite and at the top of his list each Monday morning. There were very cute crafts in this course as well! This was his first exposure to some of the worksheet types--mystery code sentences, word scrambles, and word searches--and he was able to do quite a lot of them. It inspired him in his drawings as well. It was also one of his exposures to Pokémon, but it absolutely captured his interest. I have started loosing track of the number of flex classes we have taken with this teacher, but I think this was #5. My child was sad that this class was ending, but he cheered up when he heard he would take another class with her soon!
My daughter absolutely loved this class. She was the only enrollment and while it could have added a fun other layer if there had been others, because it is a flex class it doesn't make a huge difference. Each week, she had at least one art project, math sheet with Secret decoder message, a maze, mad libs, spelling words, hangman/ bingo games, an instruction video, word search or scramble and another fun activity or art project. The teacher also added and extra activity mid week! Elizabeth McMann is a wonderful, fun teacher who seems to genuinely enjoy what she is doing. This Pokémon class was so much fun and had so much educational value packed in. I highly recommend both this teacher and this course. We have now enjoyed several classes of hers and my daughter is currently enrolled in another as well. There is plenty to do and lots of fun to be had while your kids learn, even if they don't realize they are learning

As a homeschooling mother of five, I felt led by the Lord to create an online educational platform. My style of learning didn't fit into the mold of what was out there. Not to mention, the rising prices of other educational platforms limited what classes my children could enjoy. Sifting through online classes and full curriculum that aligns with Christian values is tricky. Today, it seems most Christian curriculum is boring bookwork and/or very costly. I sought to combine everything that I value in education. Teach Me Truth provides entertaining video lessons, live online classes, online games, quizzes, worksheets, and community - all designed by independent teachers within our nonprofit platform.
